Challenge

As Power-Pole® expanded its product ecosystem, the company faced challenges in delivering a seamless and intuitive tech experience for boaters. While they had previously developed their own device, it lacked Google certification and needed modernization. Power-Pole sought a partner to help evolve their platform with a more robust, certified, and scalable enterprise 
mobility solution.

Solution

Together with NEXA and MediaTek, JL Marine Systems created the next generation of VISION, the first-ever Google-certified marine infotainment 
system.

VISION was custom designed in a 7" and 12" by NEXA to endure tough
conditions, featuring IP67-rated durability, sunlight-readable touchscreens, and
seamless compatibility with Power-Pole devices.

As the first Android-certified marine device, VISION enables access to the
Google Play Store and Google Mobile Services, allowing for app-based
navigation, entertainment, and future expansion.

The device utilizes MediaTek chipsets to support reliable processing and low
power consumption and PureTalk's reliable cellular connectivity directly from the
water.

Conclusion

JL Marine Systems, in collaboration with MediaTek and NEXA, custom-built a rugged, high-performance system secured and managed by Android Enterprise, transforming the 
future of marine infotainment.
