NEXA Appoints Dyan Kaplan as Chief Operating Officer

Expanded leadership roles strengthen operational alignment and execution as NEXA enters its next phase of growth.

NEXA today announced the appointment of Dyan Kaplan as Chief Operating Officer (COO), strengthening the company’s executive leadership team as it continues to scale its business and advance an ambitious long-term growth strategy.

The appointment comes at an important inflection point for the company, creating an increased need for operational discipline, cross-functional alignment, and scalable processes that can support the company’s growth.

“Dyan has become an integral part of how we operate and how we think about the future of NEXA,” said Robert Morcos, CEO and Founder of NEXA. “As we grow, execution becomes increasingly important. We need the right processes, accountability, and alignment across the company to turn our strategy into results. Dyan understands our business, our industry, and where we are going, and I’m confident she is the right leader to help us get there.”

Over the past year, Dyan Kaplan has taken on an increasingly broad role across NEXA post-acquisition of Sonim, with responsibilities spanning go-to-market execution, demand forecasting, inventory and launch planning, pricing, services, and other cross-functional initiatives.

As COO, Dyan Kaplan will oversee NEXA’s day-to-day operations, with a focus on translating company strategy into execution, strengthening operating processes, and creating greater alignment and accountability across the organization.

With more than two decades of leadership experience in the wireless and mobile technology industry, Dyan has built a reputation for combining financial expertise, operational excellence, and customer-focused strategy to drive business growth. Throughout her career, she has led high-performing teams, developed strategic business plans, guided product commercialization efforts, and forged strong partnerships across global organizations.

Before joining Sonim Technologies in 2017, Dyan spent nearly 14 years with Kyocera Wireless, where she held progressive leadership roles in business management, financial planning, and global operations. Earlier in her career, she held finance and management positions with Carbite Inc. and Pearson Education, building a strong foundation in corporate finance, strategic analysis, and operational leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from New York University Stern School of Business

“NEXA has tremendous opportunity ahead of us, and I’m excited to take on this role at such an important time for the company,” said Dyan Kaplan. “As we scale, our ability to stay aligned, execute consistently, and continually improve how we operate will be critical to achieving our goals.”

The appointment supports NEXA’s broader vision to become the world’s most trusted U.S.-based provider of purpose-built technology solutions for the missions that matter most.
