Our Leadership Team
Robert Morcos is the founder and CEO of NEXA. A leading provider of enterprise mobility solutions, NEXA has deployed over 15 million devices globally across all industries including healthcare, transportation, retail, and defense. The company, founded in 2011 with no external capital, has since scaled into a global business with operations in the U.S., India, Europe, and Asia. To this day, NEXA remains a family-owned and operated business.
Robert has been active in the technology industry since he was 15 years old and is widely regarded as a thought leader in his field. He has authored patents for innovative devices and was awarded Android Innovator of the Year by Google. He regularly contributes to publications such as Fortune, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, and Newsweek, and speaks at industry events that feature some of the world’s largest tech companies. Currently, he is focused on reshoring technology design and helping decrease domestic reliance on an often turbulent global supply chain.
Robert serves on several Boards of Directors, is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Miami Chapter, and was named as one of South Florida Business Journal’s 40 under 40. Raised in Miami, Robert attended Florida State University on an academic scholarship. As part of his overall passion for reducing the digital divide, he is always looking for opportunities to provide digital access to disadvantaged communities.

Ed Shulman is the President of NEXA. In his role, Ed will be responsible for facilitating operations and focusing the efforts of an exceptionally talented and highly diverse team across three continents to provide NEXA clients with an unmatched portfolio of private-label solutions and services.
Ed served over 20 years in the United States Air Force where he ascended through the enlisted ranks to become a senior non-commission officer before receiving his commission from the Academy of Military Science. During that time, Ed served in operational and leadership positions as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller and Air Liaison Officer focused on multi-domain integration of joint forces into dynamic and high-risk scenarios. Ed completed his service as the Assistant Director of a Commanders Inspection Program under the Office of the Inspector General. In that role, he was responsible for developing a culture of regulatory compliance, critical self-assessment, and continuous process improvement for an organization with 11 unique mission areas, across three geographically separate locations, and over 1700 military and civilian employees.

Jai Kishan Rao is the Chief Product Officer at NEXA, and leads the design, development, and launch of enterprise devices and solutions for the global markets.
Before joining NEXA, Jai worked with several multinational OEMs launching world-class products for the global market. He helped expand their product catalogs – both in terms of hardware devices and service platforms – and was instrumental in winning large deals for the organization.
Jai has over 20 years experience managing global teams across U.S., Asia and Europe, and developing high quality products for launch in markets like the U.S. and Asia.

Ali Webster is the General Counsel for NEXA. In her role, Ali oversees all legal aspects of the business, including contracts, compliance, and strategic partnerships, helping guide NEXA towards its broader goal of becoming the leader of the private label enterprise technology space.
Prior to joining NEXA, Ali practiced at Gibson Dunn as a corporate attorney. With her experience representing clients across industries, Ali brings to NEXA a wealth of knowledge.
Ali graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, and currently resides in Los Aneles with her husband, two daughters, and German Shepherds.

Benjamin Yogel is the Chief Financial Officer at NEXA where he oversees all internal finance and accounting of the Company while managing the Company’s external financing strategies. Ben joined NEXA in 2022 after spending over 20 years in the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry.
Prior to NEXA, Ben was the Managing Partner and founder of MRC Capital Group, a middle market Private Equity group. Ben played an integral role as part of deal teams executing leveraged buyout transactions, portfolio company sales, strategic acquisitions for portfolio companies, leveraged recapitalizations, and going-private transactions. He has also taken interim management positions as CFO and COO of multiple portfolio and advisory clients. Ben has sat on numerous public and private company boards including being Chairman of the Board of Directors of multiple public companies.
Ben graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors with honors in Economics and has an MBA with Dean’s list distinction from Columbia Business School.

Sarah is the Chief People Officer at NEXA. She manages the culture and talent of the organization and maintains responsibility for company happiness.
As the Chief People Officer, Sarah finds herself involved in nearly every aspect of the NEXA business. An integral part of the company since its inception 11 years ago, Sarah has played a critical role in the development and growth of NEXA.
Sarah was raised in South Florida and graduated from Florida International University with a B.S. in Psychology.

Christian Paul is a seasoned marketing professional with over 15 years of expertise in digital marketing and design, specializing in go-to-market (GTM) strategies for both B2B and B2C environments. His passion for technology and storytelling has driven successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
Prior to joining NEXA, he held leadership roles at NetLync, IDEMIA, Otono, and Roam Mobility, where he honed his skills in digital marketing and strategic planning.

He first met NEXA CEO and Founder, Robert Morcos, while looking for a private label phone for his startup, Roam Mobility. That device is still on display at the Social Mobile head office today.

A leader in the global telecom industry for more than three decades, Javier brings expertise in scaling businesses to his work with the Vision Fund. He was managing director for Motorola Ventures before moving to Brightstar, which he helped expand into 35 new markets. Prior to joining SoftBank, he helped Greensill grow its technology and telecom practice globally.
In his current role as a partner at the SoftBank Vision Fund, Javier develops Joint Ventures and partnerships for SoftBank Vision Fund portfolio companies in order to build market-leading companies. Offering the operational expertise, global network and creative mindset to SoftBank Vision Fund companies to expand beyond their limits, adding new geographies, use cases and areas of application for their technologies, products and services.
In his current role as a partner at the SoftBank Vision Fund, Javier develops Joint Ventures and partnerships for SoftBank Vision Fund portfolio companies in order to build market-leading companies. Offering the operational expertise, global network and creative mindset to SoftBank Vision Fund companies to expand beyond their limits, adding new geographies, use cases and areas of application for their technologies, products and services.
Douglas is a dynamic leader who brings more than 25 years of experience managing government and private sector organizations that have excelled in advocacy, coalition building, new business development, communications, public policy, and corporate social responsibility efforts in the U.S. and around the world.
Previously, Smith was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as the Assistant Secretary for the Private Sector at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager for a leading international public relations and new media firm where he managed the Washington, DC office and was the primary client engagement manager for some of the firm’s most iconic Fortune 100 clients.

Jennifer “JJ” Snow is a retired Air Force Intelligence Officer and strategic advisor to the George Kaiser Family Foundation’s Tulsa Innovation Lab Cyber Analytics Council and Advanced Aerial Mobility Council, member of the Defense Advisory Board for LMI, and Founder of SnowStorm Advisory Services with a focus on dual-use early-stage startups.
JJ served as the Chief Technology Officer for AFWERX, the innovation arm of the U.S. Air Force, and the military Chief Innovation Officer for SOFWERX at Special Operations Command. She was the military representative for total force innovation and technology outreach, bridging the gap between government and private sector, academic and non-traditional partners. In this role, she reviewed, validated, and recommended 2300 early-stage technologies for investment, meeting 43 different requirement areas and resulting in $710M invested in innovative emerging tech and small business initiatives across the DoD, Interagency and USAF programs.
JJ served three combat tours with AFSOC, JSOC, and SOCOM/NCR in Afghanistan and Iraq and has held multiple leadership roles with special operations and special mission units. She is a distinguished graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School Defense Analysis Masters program, a distinguished graduate of NSA’s elite JOCCP program, and an alumni of the UVA Darden School Executive Course.

Shardul Shah has over 25 years of diverse industry experience; he brings extensive expertise in managing complex procurement and sourcing operations across multiple regions and categories, driven by a passion for remote monitoring medical technology. His core strengths are in leadership, with a focus on the basics, working with people, processes, and technologies to improve access to great products at scale. He also possesses a deep knowledge of manufacturing and commercial operations in emerging markets (i.e., greenfield projects, local labor, reimbursement, warehousing and logistics, and local distribution). He has leveraged supplier relationship management to enable win-wins to support over billions in revenue growth and billions of savings at scale through innovation, an eye to customer satisfaction with a broader social impact vision.
Shardul has spent over 8 years with Abbott in executive roles. Previous to Abbott, Shardul was an expert in operations for McKinsey & Co. and led international teams with Volkswagen, Renault-Nissan Purchase Organization, and Ford Motor Company.
Shardul has an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
